"The Christian Roberts Foundation Sneaker Ball was a First Class Event. Founded by Donald and Wanda Thomas Roberts to honor their son Christian Roberts and Jordan Alexander Roberts and others who were gunned down in a senseless homicide in 2019. This event was to raise awareness of gun violence, award an annual scholarship fund to a chosen family member of victims of gun violence and provide support for the homeless Its a beautiful legacy to our youth in the community that is gone too soon. Well done Donald and Wanda Please support this effort next time It was beautiful."
"What can I say about the 1st annual Christian Roberts Foundation Sneaker Ball Gala. Everyone showed up and showed out at my sister, Wanda Thomas Roberts and her husband, Donald Roberts spectacular event. Food, live entertainment, dj, awards, honorees, silent auction, scholarships, etc. Thanks to all my friends, family and of course my band for your support. Some pics that captured the evening. "Attended the Christian Roberts Foundation Sneaker Ball on Saturday. Can I just say “FABULOUS”! The entire event was beautifully implemented. It was truly a labor of love to honor the life of a son, brother, family member & community organizer and to encourage people impacted by senseless gun violence. The sneaker theme, balloon displays and centerpieces were uniquely and expertly designed. The food was delicious. The people were supportive and in high spirits. The entertainment was outstanding (The Sharon Thomas Band and the DJ). One young man was awarded a $2,500 to attend North Carolina A&T. Through events such as this Christian continues to make an impact by turning tragedy to triumph. As well as encouraging people to be resilient and hopeful."
